I've had a hard time finding a fantasy romance to satisfy me.

Sarah janet walked so this brutal shit could run 🤯Ĭarissa broadbent count your fucking days because my therapist and lawyer say i’m entitled to emotional compensation, they’ll be in contact… i finished this book breathing hard and staring at the walls for like 20 minutes processing the intense shit i just read. my brain must have paralyzed entirely as some point. and gahhh damn those last 30 pages…you could have a gun to my head and i wouldn’t have guessed the way things ended. i was so entranced in the writing and world building that i could clearly imagine every corner, inch, and cobblestone of this world and its kingdoms. but he has a lot of growing on me to do which i’m hoping to get in the sequel.🧎🏻‍♀️yet i still want him till i am diagnosed with SEVERE spine and back problems 🥰īut i gotta say, my favorite part about this book was the plot over the romance. my man (that doesn’t know he’s my man yet) god i love his personality. she deserves the world and i’ll gladly kneel before her 🧎🏻‍♀️
WINGS OF FIRE AUDIOBOOK SERIES
she’s not only my favorite character in this series but one of all time now. this book is all in her pov and it was the best decision. usually battle/fight scenes bore me but it’s the way i couldn’t get enough of it when she was involved. she’s so effortlessly fierce, badass, and strong. Oraya! female rage incarnated to the max. the plot was giving as much as the romance. from characters i’d literally move continents for to a slow burning romance that ached me to the core. from the world building to the lush writing, nothing was a miss to my eyes. This was the hunger games meets Underworld. i knew i’d enjoy this book but i didn’t know i’d love it to the point of actually considering how i could cement it into my brain, skin, and body. The second i opened up page 1, i couldn’t put this book down. The Serpent and the Wings of Night is the first book in a new series of heart-wrenching romance, dark magic, and bloodthirsty intrigue, perfect for fans of From Blood and Ash and A Court of Thorns and Roses.Ĭonvinced nothing could top this masterpiece (maybe the sequel) And Raihn may understand her more than anyone – but their blossoming attraction could be her downfall, in a kingdom where nothing is more deadly than love. War for the House of Night brews, shattering everything that Oraya thought she knew about her home. Yet, what terrifies Oraya most of all is that she finds herself oddly drawn to him.īut there’s no room for compassion in the Kejari. He is a ruthless vampire, an efficient killer, an enemy to her father’s crown… and her greatest competition. To survive, Oraya is forced to make an alliance with a mysterious rival.Įverything about Raihn is dangerous. Her only chance to become something more than prey is entering the Kejari: a legendary tournament held by the goddess of death herself.īut winning won’t be easy amongst the most vicious warriors from all three vampire houses.
